Light Talks Kolding – 5.12.19

Follow the light choir, which starts at the railway station and goes to the Nicolai complex via the Spanish Steps, Akseltorv and Skt. Nicolai Church. Singalong is allowed!

Opening of the light festival anno 2019

Dec 5 pm. 17:00 - In the eastern part of Jernbanegade we mark the opening of the light festival. The new LED street light will be presented and our new welcome portal will be displayed.

The Library

Walk into a beautiful and exciting world of light, darkness and sound. You can also borrow a UV lamp and find letters as you walk around the dark library, a fun activity for families with children.

Street lighting – Jernbanegade East

During the winter of 19/20, Jernbanegade East is being rebuild. This includes new street lighting. The first stage is finished for this year's light festival. Come and see what street lighting can look like.

Karaoke night with light going wild!

Thursday, December 5, at 17:30 - Mungo Park arrange karaoke with light responding sound. So when you sing wilder, the light gets wilder. There will be a stand with costumes available that you can use when displaying your karaoke skills. There will be a prize for best performance between 20-21:00.

Koldinghus Castle

The castle puts away its daily illumination and wears colorful robes.

The Spanish Stairs

This year, the Spanish Stairs are lit by countless interactive spots that create different moods according to music and tempo. A cozy stop where both big and small are caught by the light.

X-mas Market at Koldinghus

Come visit Koldng Castle when the Christmas festivities are at their peak. This year's Christmas market with over 80 exhibitors with Christmas bags, Christmas snacks, specialty beers and other Christmas specialties. There will be stalls all ofverthe castle, music in the Knights' Hall and workshop for children.

Behind the Town Hall

Behind Kolding Town Hall is a little gem, the old town hall garden deserves to be seen in a new light happening during the Kolding Light Festival.

Sankt Nicolai Church

We are giving full trottle. Almost the whole church is lit up outside with Christmas themes. Also, remember to look inside the beautiful building.

Flora (Permanent)

The luminous floral ornament Flora is made in neon tubes by textile designer Astrid Krogh. Flora glows with a very special glow in the dark thanks to the technique of glass pipes supplied with noble gases.

At one of the "Åsteder", just off the rainbow bridge, we show the installation "Iceberg". It is almost floating around on the creek.

X-mas Bazar Designschool 6.-7. of Dec.

Again this year the school will be full of Christmas spirit and packed with unique designs produced by current and former students. Come and meet the designers behind 125 small stalls selling prints, prints, textiles, jewelry and much, much more. The school canteen offers lots of delights.
